Founder & Partner, Certified General Appraiser, WA

Jim earned a degree in finance and spent 50 years in the real estate appraisal field. He had appraised large retail, office, industrial, and multifamily properties; and been involved professionally in substantial right-of-way, condemnation, partial interest valuation, and litigation proceedings in both the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. He had appraised bulk plants in the Baring Sea and buildings in Yellowstone Park. Attorneys appreciated his abilities and calm expert witness testimony in court cases.

Appraisal Institute: Jim was an MAI who had been president, director, and vice president of the Seattle and Alaska chapters.

International Right of Way Association: Jim had an SR/WA (Senior Right of Way Agent) designation, and had been president and vice president of the Seattle, Washington and Fairbanks, Alaska chapters; well as chair of the Valuation Committee and Region 7 chair.

Jim enjoyed court testimony and helping his clients, and was always honest with them.  He shared his love of baseball (particularly the Mariners), sailing, hiking, bicycling, and pickleball.
